Held by the Waters is an intimate, soul-deep retreat for women who are ready to soften back into their bodies, reconnect with their inner knowing, and release what they’ve been carrying for far too long.
Over six sacred days in the lush waters of Nicaragua, you’ll be guided into a slower rhythm. One that invites your nervous system to settle, your intuition to speak clearly, and your body to remember its natural flow.
This is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about coming home to your body, your emotions, and the quiet wisdom that has always lived within you.

Your Hosts
Just over two years ago, Carla and Rebecca met for the very first time on a retreat. By a twist of fate (or perhaps divine orchestration), they were paired together in the same room… and even had to share a bed.
What began as a week of shared space quickly blossomed into a deep, soul-level friendship. The kind that feels like you’ve known each other for lifetimes. In the sacred container of that retreat, they experienced the true magic of sisterhood: the kind that holds you, sees you, and invites you into your fullest self.
Retreats had always been places of transformation for them where stillness could be found, where the heart could open, and where the waters could whisper their wisdom. The waters had called them home before, and when they dreamed of creating a retreat together, they knew it could only be held by the water’s edge.
Because that’s where they had found their peace.
That’s where they had found themselves.
And that’s where they hope you will too.

This retreat is intentionally kept small to preserve intimacy and depth.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Getting There
Fly into Managua International Airport, approximately 2.5 hours from the retreat space.
Alternatively, you can fly into Liberia Airport in Costa Rica, which is about 2.5 hours from the retreat space and requires a border crossing.
We’re happy to help coordinate shared transportation with other attendees based on your arrival airport.
How many meals are not included?
There will be 4 meals not included 2 lunches and 2 dinners, when we’ll explore local restaurants and shops.
Expect to spend around $7–$15 CAD per meal, depending on your preferences.
What currency should I bring?
USD is widely accepted in Nicaragua and can easily be exchanged for Cordobas (the local currency).
Some local shops accept USD, but Cordobas are recommended. We’ll stop at an ATM on our shopping day for those who wish to withdraw local currency.

What if I have food allergies?
Please reach out to us directly if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
What does a typical meal look like?
Breakfast will be continental-style and may include:

Yogurt, granola, eggs, and fresh fruit

Juice, coffee, tea

Gallo pinto (rice and beans), fried plantains, fresh cheese, and tortillas
Lunches and dinners will feature traditional Nicaraguan dishes served family-style.
Can I book a private session with Rebecca or Carla?
Yes! You’ll have the option to add on a 30-minute private session at checkout.

Cancellation Policy
Deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations before 90 days will be refunded minus the deposit.
Cancellations 30-60 days will be refunded 50% minus the deposit.
Cancellations within 30 days of our travel date will not receive a refund but you can sell your spot to someone else.
